Linda L. (Maxwell) Spencer

Linda Spencer passed away on Monday, July 28, 2015 in Indianapolis, IN at her home. Linda Maxwell was born in March 27, 1940 in Indianapolis. She was a graduate of Howe High School. She married William “Bill” Spencer on March 21, 1968 and they were together until his death in 1998.

She was very involved in Republican politics working for both the Indiana State and Marion County Republican parties over the last 45 years. She worked as a nursing home administrator and state preceptor and Monitor since 1994. Most recently she served as Co 1st Vice President of WINS, Indiana Republican Women in Neighborhood Service, and as Corresponding Secretary Northside SCORE, the Service Club on Republican Education. Linda was an elder at Northwood Christian Church and served as Co-President of the Disciples Women’s Ministries and was a member of the Rachel Circle.

She is survived by her loving family. Her son, Keith Parks, of Indianapolis, and his children SSG Jerry Parks,  U.S. Army Special Forces and Dr. Andrea Parks, of Detroit. Her daughter, Stacey Paradis, of Chicago, and her husband, Brock, and their children Maxwell and Emmit and her sister, Phyllis Gilliam, of Indianapolis. Linda was an avid traveler and had wonderful spirit and an adventurous soul. She will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life service with a calling and visitation with the family following the service will be at Northwood Christian Church 4550 N. Central Ave Indianapolis, IN 46205 on Saturday, August 8 from 2pm until 5pm. Memorials can be directed to the Northwood Disciples Women’s Ministries through Northwood Christian Church or to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, https://netcommunity.pancan.org/sslpage.aspx?pid=796.
